Thema Capabilities of integrating documents into Windows applications considering the example of SysBau/3 Abstract The thesis focuses on the capabilities of integrating documents into Windows applications. Its main focus lies on the integration of Microsoft Word generated help documents for SysBau/3 and SBDBTool using the XML capabilities of Microsoft Office 2003. Because of the unreliability of the integration method a reorientation of the integration of help documents is to be done. This reorientation has to use XML technologies. The use of XML technologies for the integration is supposed to entail a reliable and innovative solution. It brings the option for the usage of Microsoft Word 2003 for the whole integration process. The advantage of this is a high usability and it fulfils the requirements of being applicable by customers and end-users. The intention of this thesis is to develop this XML based integration method and to generate an appertaining documentation of the development and the usage. Additionally an outlook for capabilities, based on the new techniques, is to be made. This paper describes the whole realisation process, starting with an As-Is analysis, followed by theory till implementation of the solution, which is based on XSL stylesheets. The developed integration method achieves the defined requirements and is an appropriate replacement for the old integration method. Supplementary, the acquired know-how is used to create ideas and basic concepts for future usages of XML documents. One of them is actually implemented in the latest development version of FelixX CMM. Dokument
